During tonight's Monday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears, the Green Bay Packers and their fans were left with quite a scare when Aaron Rodgers was escorted to the Packers' locker room after getting slammed down by Shea McClellin. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Packers are calling it a "left shoulder/collarbone injury." So far, the team is saying that Rodgers will miss the rest of tonight's contest. As for missing any additional games, no one knows for sure just yet.

After looking at the GIF above, you can see some similarities in the way Rodgers hit the ground and Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, who is currently on the injured reserve after undergoing season-ending surgery. Sidebar: This may be the only time those two guys are mentioned in the same sentence...ever.

Of course, only time will tell and we will definitely keep you updated when more information becomes available.

UPDATE: Rodgers returned to the field in a sweatshirt and no sling...

However, David Haugh of the Chicago Tribune sent out the following tweet:

According to @ZachZaidman Rodgers has a broken collarbone.
