Back in 1996, despite the fact that he played on the same Georgetown team as Allen Iverson, Victor Page was named the MVP of the 1996 Big East Tournament. One year later, he entered the 1997 NBA Draft. However, he wasn't drafted and, although he spent some time playing in the CBA, Page's life has more or less been a mess ever since.
Page—who got shot in the face back in 2003 and lost his right eye—has been in and out of jail for the better part of the last decade. Since 2010, he has actually been arrested 33 times and spent the equivalent of more than two years in jail. And now, he's serving a 10-year jail sentence for beating a woman, tearing her hair out of her scalp, and then punching and stabbing her repeatedly. Unbelievably, it's the fourth time that Page has been accused of assaulting the woman.
Oh, and as if that wasn't crazy enough, the Washington Times sent a writer to try and interview Page in jail recently. But Page wouldn't cooperate with the writer and answer any questions. His reason? He wanted to be paid for his time. Sad doesn't even begin to describe Page's descent in the last 15 years.
