When all the Penn State scandal and Joe Paterno's subsequent death happened, we saw the devotion and appreciation that Paterno garnered from the Penn State community for all of his work. While we expect that on a local scale, we wouldn't expect it to happen anywhere else.
Someone in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, (over 1,000 miles from State College) decided to pay homage to Paterno by cutting “JOE PA” into the field behind his or her house.
The display is so large that it was easily picked up by Google satellites and is able to be seen on an aerial view in Google Maps. Paying homage is cool especially when that much time is taken. We wonder how much time it took to do this?
