Currently, the New York Jets (3-3) are two games behind the first-place New England Patriots, who they face this Sunday. With such a huge contest coming up this weekend, Rex Ryan wants his players in peak physical condition, so in a team meeting on Wednesday, the Jets head coach advised his guys to not engage in any sexual, er, chores in the days leading up to the game.

According to the newly signed Josh Cribbs, Ryan told him, "don’t do nothing for your wife." When Sheldon Richardson was asked if that quote included intimacy with the significant other, the defensive lineman responded with a “most definitely” and an "ear-to-ear grin." Soon after Rex caught wind of Richardson's response, the coach wanted to clarify his statement, saying that "sex is not part of his no-no list for the weekend."

Later, Cribbs expanded on what coach Ryan told him:

“He was like ... rest your legs, you go home, don’t do nothing for your wife,” Cribbs said. “Say baby, next week. You’ll take out the trash next week. I’ll take the kids to practice next week but I’ve got to rest for this game. I’m going to tell him to put it on paper so when I give it to my wife, I can be like, ‘Rex said that I don’t got to take out the trash.’ So he might get a call.”

Ahh, we see. But you know that once the topic of sex was brought up, you know Rex was probably like, "ehhh, I don't advise it, so don't do it, but yeah, do whatever you want, it's your life. Got all that?" To which, the Jets assumed that meant a "no" and they probably aren't wrong in that assumption.
