Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is having a season to remember so far during the 2013 NFL season. The Broncos are undefeated and everyone can't help but wonder how the Colts feel after releasing Manning nearly two years ago.

What you didn't know was that Peyton suggested that the Colts choose Andrew Luck with the #1 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft according to Colts owner Jim Irsay during his interview with USA TODAY SPORTS:

"[Manning] said, 'You've got to take Andrew,' " Irsay told USA Today Sports. " 'You have to. You're crazy if you don't.' "

It's worked out for all parties. Andrew Luck passed for an NFL rookie-record 4,374 yards as the Colts matched the second largest single-season turnaround in NFL history with their nine-win improvement of 2 wins to 11 wins. Luck has continued the success in his second season leading the Colts to a 4-2 record while throwing for seven touchdowns.

Manning has been spectacular. After a great season where he passed for 4,659 yards and 37 touchdowns last season, Manning is on a record-setting pace this year. The former Super Bowl MVP currently leads the NFL with 2,179 passing yards and 22 touchdowns which is a league record through six games.

Good for all involved. Andrew Luck is one of the bright young quarterbacks in the NFL and Peyton Manning is breaking records left and right. Maybe the Colts regret releasing Manning just a small bit considering how dominant he has been.
