If you wanted to do something to impress your friends, what would you do? Pull a pair of rare Js out of the closet? Take a couple extra dollars out of the ATM machine and offer to buy a round at the bar? Go and get your brand-new car washed? One of those things would probably do the trick, right?

Yeah, we would say so. But when 23-year-old Zachary Zweifel decided that he wanted to "impress his friends" on Saturday, he took a different approach. Rather than do something, you know, sane, he decided that he was going to impress his friends by jumping on top of a police car after a night out. So he found one parked in a neighborhood in Madison, Wis., jumped on top of it, and then lost his mind. He ran from the hood to the trunk of the car and back. He jumped up and down on the top of the car. And he made so much noise while doing it that several cops who were patrolling the area on foot heard him and placed him under arrest. He was charged with criminal damage to property for allegedly causing about $1,000 worth of damage to the car. And his reasoning for doing it was classic.

"He was apologetic later," a police spokesman said yesterday, "saying he was 'just trying to impress my friends.'"

What a jackass. Next time you want to impress your friends, dude, just buy them some beers. That would be impressive. This was just stupid.
