It's not looking like a good Tuesday for the purple and gold.

Well, here's some bad news regarding Kobe Bryant. As many expected, Bryant will not be playing in the LakersTuesday season-opener against the Clippers. The Black Mamba still hasn't gone through a full practice and can't push fully off that Achilles' Heel. This leaves the Lakers' with underwhelming potential starters: a probably less-than-healthy Steve NashPau Gasol, Steve Blake, Shawne Williams, and Nick Young. Ouch.

There still isn't a timetable for Bryant's return, so for now, it's feasting season for Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and a will-dunk-on-his-teammate-because-that's-just-how-he-gets-down DeAndre Jordan.
