The nightmare is finally over for Josh Freeman and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After two weeks of rumors surrounding Freeman and his status with the team, the Bucs have decided to part ways with him by releasing him. They reportedly tried to find an NFL team willing to make a trade for him. But when they got no bites, they let him walk a short time ago.

Don't expect him to be a free agent for very long, though. Although we're not totally convinced that he can be a franchise quarterback—or even a starting quarterback—someone out there is going to pick Freeman up soon and give him another shot.
