We all know now that all "non-essential" government services, like parks, FHA loans, the VA department, have been shut down, and that those 800,000 employees are furloughed without pay. Needless to say, for those employees who are very suddenly not making any money, this is a very bad situation that they have no control over.

Hyundai has decided to do the right thing, however, and defer all car payments from government workers until they're getting a pay check again. They're, of course, not off the hook for their debt, but they're not expected to pay for the cars when they're legally prohibited from going to work. We challenge the big three to do the same.
