Everybody's dad has spouted false information about motoring at one point. Some do it intentionally, some as a joke, and others actually believe what they're saying. My wife was told, as a child, that "three go left on a yellow" was that law of the land. Needless to say, when she later repeated that to her mom, the mistake was quickly realized.

Of course, some of these are more harmful and less hilarious. Who knows how many accidents could have been prevented if there were no driving myths?
