Red Sox fans' Halloween weekend got ruined in a matter of seconds, and it was all because of what probably was the correct call. After tagging one out, Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia overthrew third baseman Will Middlebrooks. Fortunately, left fielder Daniel Nava controlled the ball and threw it to Saltalamacchia to tag St. Louis' Allen Craig to save the inning...

Well, that's what a lot of people thought happened. But Middlebrooks threw his legs up as he was diving, tripping Craig. That's obstruction, regardless of intent. Cardinals get the run and they're up 2-1 in this World Series after taking this game, 5-4. Even if some may find this call disagreeable, this finish was still exciting as hell.
