Even though the WNBA has been around for almost 20 years now, the women's pro league still gets very little respect. For proof of that, just listen to what the Atlanta Dream are going through right now.

The Dream knocked off the Indiana Fever recently to advance to the 2013 WNBA Finals against the Minnesota Lynx. However, the Dream will not be able to host the Lynx in Games 3 and 4 of the Finals series at Philips Arena where they usually play their home games. Instead, they'll have to host the Lynx at the Arena at Gwinnett Center about 30 minutes outside of Atlanta. And why will they have to do that? Why, because Disney on Ice is in town next week!

What a slap in the face to the WNBA. If this was the NBA Finals, this would never happen. In fact, during the Bulls/Nets playoff series back in May, Rihanna was scheduled to perform on the same night as Game 7 at the Barclays Center. And guess what? Rih-Rih had to cancel her show to allow the game to be played as scheduled. So it sucks to see the WNBA Finals—the WNBA FINALS!—take a backseat to Disney on Ice. Say what you want about the WNBA, but it deserves more respect than that.
