Matt Flynn just can't catch a break, can he? Just one year after the Seahawks traded for him and then decided to bench him in favor of rookie Russell Wilson, the former Packers backup has missed out on yet another starting quarterback job. According to reports out of Oakland, the Raiders have decided to give third-year QB Terrelle Pryor the starting quarterback position this season after a pretty strong showing in the preseason last month.
That doesn't mean that Flynn won't get a chance to play at all this season. After all, the Raiders aren't expected to light up the scoreboard this season, regardless of whether it's Pryor or Flynn commanding the offense. So for all we know, Pryor could start off the season 0-3 and lose his starting position. But still, this probably doesn't sit real well with Flynn, who just can't seem to work his way onto the field.
It'll be interesting to see how Pryor does with the Raiders, though. At times, he's struggled during the preseason. But at times, he's also looked like the best player on the field. So it'll be interesting to see how he performs on the big stage on Sunday afternoon.
