On May 2, 2012, the San Diego Chargers were shaken when reports surfaced that former great Junior Seau was found by his girlfriend after committing suicide by shooting himself in the chest. Only 16 months later, the organization has been dealt another tragic blow today with the news of Paul Oliver, who died Tuesday night from self inflicted gunshot at his home in Marietta, Ga. He was only 29.

Oliver last played in the NFL with Bolts in 2011. The Chargers released the following statement in response to Oliver's death:

"Everyone in the Chargers family is sad today after hearing the news about Paul. He was part of our family for five years. At just 29 years old, he still had a lifetime in front of him. Right now, all of our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this most difficult time."

Our thoughts go out to Oliver's family, friends and teammates who are dealing with his untimely death.
