We hope the Oklahoma State Cowboys enjoyed the first two weeks of the 2013 college football season. Because Week 3 is gonna be a bitch.
On Saturday night, OK State will take on Lamar in their third game of the season. But between then and now, Sports Illustrated is going to tear the Cowboys' football program apart with an in-depth investigative report called "The Dirty Game" that features a bunch of scandalous info about the program and how it has operated for most of the last decade. In Part 1 of the report, SI reporters George Dohrmann and Thayer Evans take a closer look at all of the money that has changed hands between OK State boosters and players over the course of the last 10 years or so. They allege that, for quite some time now, players have been paid bonuses for good performances on the field and been given money for performing jobs off of it that they didn't actually complete. And SI has dozens of former OK State players, coaches, and boosters on the record talking about all of the NCAA violations that were allegedly committed by OK State during the tenures of former head coach Les Miles and current coach Mike Gundy. The report is going to be a huge cause for concern in Stillwater, Okla. and could very well shake up the OK State football program for years to come.
