Mercedes' new S-Class is just barely here, and the variants are starting to pour in. While we're all eagerly awaiting the Pullman, which will be the successor to the Maybach crown, right now we're much more driver focused with the S-Class Coupe Concept.

The concept is rocking a biturbo V8 that powers the rear wheels with 449 horses and 516 lb-ft of torque, which is not terribly surprising, given the S-Class sedan's engine. The real surprise, engine wise, is that the concept's hood is significantly longer than it needs to be for said V8, meaning that a V12 AMG variant might already be planned.

Style wise, it looks like the sleek Concept A impregnated an S-Class, complete with the grille filled with chrome hexagonal pins and light grey alcantara everything on the inside. This is, however, much more opulent and majestic than said hatchback could ever be. Now we just have to woner how much of these details will make it into the production car.
