For the better part of the five years it's been in production, the Kia Soul has dominated a niche market and segment that, frankly, didn't have very tough competition. Far exceeding expectations, the Soul has planted itself in the auto industry as the funky "box" that has speakers with pulsating lights and is the vehicle of choice for furry rodents. But it's also become the vehicle of choice for a wide range of customers, from high school kids to older parents. With the continued growth of the car and the brand as a whole, Kia decided it was finally time to refine the Soul inside and out. They brought us to the beautiful city of a whale's va San Diego to try out the car's new platform, redone interior, and madeover exterior. Here's what we noticed most.
