On the night of the 2013 NBA DraftKevin Garnett spoke with Paul Pierce about the prospect of waiving his no-trade clause and joining the Brooklyn Nets. That's when we're imagining their conversation turned into a scene straight out of Jerry Maguire. At some point, Garnett admitted he wouldn't go unless Pierce was there because The Truth...completes KG.

OK, we kid. But while in China on a marketing trip, Garnett was interviewed by Sina Sports where he said that if he were traded and Pierce wasn't going with him, he would've just retired from the NBA. Here's an excerpt from that interview, courtesy of CelticsLife.com

Moderator: Can you say if the transaction object is only you, no Pierce, you would choose to reject it?

Talk about a bromance. And if you don't believe us, just look at the picture above from the Nets' press conference introducing them to the media. Both guys wore a grey suit and switched up colors on the tie/shirt combo. You can't help but think that was discussed prior to the actual day of the event.

The conversation probably went something like this: "No, what are you wearing tomorrow?" "No, no, you first!" Hey, we're just glad to have crazy KG for another season.
