If the result of last Saturday's main event between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson had you holding out hope for rematch, you're gonna need to wait a little while. That's because UFC president Dana White has informed ESPN that Jones (19-1) has chosen to take on Glover Teixeira on Feb. 1 in Newark, N.J. But don't think Bones is ducking a rematch with Gustafsson. "I'm going to fight Glover and I will answer all the critics about the Gustafsson fight. I will fight Gustafsson after I fight Glover. I won the fight but I look at it as a blemish on my record because some people think I didn't. I promise you, he will be next."

Since Gustafsson did technically lose to Jones, Teixeira is considered the next in line to try and take the Light Heavyweight title away from Bones, who will be attempting to defend his belt for a seventh consecutive time. In the meantime, Gustafsson will face an opponent in his native country of Sweden around the same time as Jones v. Teixeira.
