Floyd Mayweather Jr. is set to make more than $41 million this weekend when he fights against Canelo Alvarez. So it's probably safe to say that Mayweather is not hurting when it comes to money. There is more than enough of it to go around right now.
With that said, it's kind of crazy to hear that Mayweather allegedly stiffed a company that helped him score courtside seats at Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals back in June. According to TMZ, a company called White Glove International is suing Mayweather right now, because they claim that they helped him obtain three courtside tickets to the Spurs/Heat game in Miami on June 20 for approximately $25,000 a pop and one first-row seat for $5,000 and have still not been paid by Mayweather. So they're asking for $80,000 plus interest in the lawsuit that they just filed.
To most people, $80,000 is a ton of money. But for Mayweather, that's less than a percent of what he stands to make this weekend. So if he really does owe this company that money, he should just go ahead and make this entire situation disappear quickly. A guy who goes by the nickname "Money May" doesn't need this on his record.
