Would Andy Reid still be the Eagles head coach?

The Eagles have a new head coach, Michael Vick is actually doing pretty well (see his 428-yard, two-touchdown game against the Chargers today), and the team finally isn't a punchline. So yeah, things are definitely looking up for the team after it finished last season 4-12 and parted ways with longtime coach Andy Reid.

Picture this: What if Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick were starting for the Eagles? This isn't just a hypothetical question; the Eagles had a chance of getting one of them, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, but failed to in a sequence of questionable decisions.

San Francisco was willing to move Kaepernick because it was satisfied with Alex Smith's performance in 2011. Eagles nearly got the current 49ers starting quarterback for a second-round draft pick but had their eyes on someone else: Russell Wilson. The Eagles reportedly centered their draft around Wilson but still ended up getting beat to him by the Seahawks in round three despite Philadephia having two picks in the previous round.

As a result San Francisco and Seattle started flourishing in 2012, while the Eagles could've had one of their quarterbacks start after Vick went down with a concussion that season. Philadelphia at least looks like it's at the verge of flourishing.
