The Crown Vic is dead and buried, and that means that the big three are scrambling to become the new de facto cop car of America. When the three new cop cars were tested, the Charger was certainly well received, but a lot of agencies appreciated the Taurus' AWD. Now Chrysler has fired back with the Dodge Charger Pursuit AWD. That's right, there's a new sherrif (car) in town.

The Charger Pursuit AWD managed a lap time of 1:33.85 at the anual Michigan Police Vehicle Evaluation at Grattan Raceway. For comparison's sake, the Ford Taurus Police Interceptor clocks in at 1:34.60 and the Chevrolet Caprive PPV trails at 1:36.8.
