When the Jets decided to trade their star cornerback Darrelle Revis to the Buccaneers during the offseason, they had to know that it was going to come back to haunt them in Week 1, right? They had to know that Revis was going to use his in-depth knowledge of the Jets to try and help the Bucs steal an easy win. So they shouldn't be surprised to hear that that's exactly what Revis is doing this week. He's been talking to Bucs offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan about what he can expect from the Jets defense when the two teams match up on Sunday.

"I'll spill the beans and let him know what we used to run," Revis revealed yesterday. "What things coach [Rex] Ryan might do. It's almost like stealing a little bit. That's what you've got to do. You take the information and pass it to the offensive coordinator."

Revis is also going to use the things he learned during practices last season to shut the Jets wide receivers down when he's on defense on Sunday.

"I know these guys," he said. "I played against them every day in practice. I've got a bunch of tips on those guys and the good thing about it is I've been sharing them with our secondary."

Will that lead to an easy W for the Bucs on Sunday? Er, something tells us that even if Revis didn't tell the Tampa Bay coaches and players everything he knows about the Jets, they would still probably win easily. But having Revis on their team is already paying off for the Bucs. So far, he's proving that he was worth every last penny of the six-year, $96 million contract extension he signed when he was traded to Tampa.
