Sometimes, we have absolutely no idea what athletes are thinking. They make plays on the field or court that are so dumb, so stupid, so idiotic that we wonder how they ever managed to work their way up to the collegiate and professional sports ranks. In fact, a lot of these plays are so bad that the players who take part in them go down in history as "the guy who [insert description of dumb play here]." Bleacher Report just put together a list of these plays over here. These guys will never live these plays down.
