Jeremy Lin might've struggled last season in Houston, but he'll always have Linsanity. During the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season Lin took over the sports and news world with his sudden emergence in the middle of the season. He carried the New York Knicks during a 35-game stretch after being waived twice before signing with the Knicks.

The Linsanity documentary will highlight Lin's childhood, his successful high school career, and some of the struggles Lin faced to earn a scholarship offer due to race and the struggle of making an NBA roster. Linsanity debuted at Sundance in January and audiences in select cities (“Boston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco, along with 10 to 15 other cities,” per Variety) will have a chance to see it in theaters on Oct. 4.
