With former GM David Kahn making his much celebrated and long-awaited exit from Minnesota this summer, the new President of Basketball Operations for the T'Wolves, Flip Saunders, has been on the lookout for a successor for Kahn to help with scouting and agent relations, and to provide input on team issues. Now, Darren Wolfson of ESPN 1500 in Minnesota is reporting that Saunders may have found his man. The Washington Wizards' Vice President of player personnel, Milt Newton, has apparently been tabbed as the newest addition to Minnesota's front office, lending his expertise to a franchise that is desperately in need of some direction. Further reports indicate that Minnesota's assistant GM, Rob Babcock, will be promoted to the role of Vice President of player personnel.

Congrats all around to these rising, front office stars. Also, good luck cleaning up the mess that Kahn made. There's certainly enough talent on the roster for Minnesota to vie for a playoff spot. But can this new team turn the T'Wolves into actual contenders?
