Tim Tebow Says He's Praying for Riley Cooper Right Now

The two are close friends.

Tim Tebow and Riley Cooper have been friends for almost a decade now. Back in 2006—and again in 2008—the two helped the Florida Gators win the BCS National Championship. And over the years, they have apparently remained in touch and talked pretty often. So when the Patriots traveled to Philadelphia yesterday to take part in a joint practice with the Eagles, Tebow got bombarded with questions about Cooper and the racist video that leaked out last week. And Tebow revealed that while the two haven't talked yet, he has been praying for Cooper for the last few days.

"You know we're friends," he said. "We've been close for a long time, so we'll talk. I haven't gotten to see him yet today. I'm sure I'll see him soon, but I was definitely praying for him."

He refused to go into anymore detail than that. But with the Patriots in Philly for the next few days preparing for their preseason game against the Eagles on Friday night, we're sure we haven't heard the last of Tebow talking about Cooper. Stay tuned.
