Shots Fired! The Suns Just Purchased the Rights to the "Beat.la" Domain Name for $5300

Hi, Lakers!

None

Back when Steve Nash was still running with the Suns and putting up MVP numbers, Phoenix developed a nice little rivalry with the Los Angeles Lakers. Every season, it seemed like the two teams met in the playoffs. And even though the Suns have fallen on hard times in recent years, they're apparently interested in keeping their rivalry with the Lakers alive.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the Suns just purchased the rights to the domain name "beat.la" for $5300. The .la is actually the country code for Laos. But when the Suns realized they could scoop it up recently, they jumped at the opportunity. And they're already putting it to good use.

Good one, Suns. This was a creative way to troll one of your most hated rivals.
