Knicks' Raymond Felton Manages to Applaud and Diss Phil Jackson and Jason Kidd All in One Quote

Tell 'em how you really feel.

None

It's kinda the elephant in the room with Jason Kidd and his role as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets. Simply put, with veterans, like Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, a court general in Deron Williams and tons of other experienced talent on the roster, Kidd isn't going to have to do much coaching this upcoming season. It hasn't really been spoken on...until yesterday when an interview with the Knicks' Raymond Felton was published on All Ball.

Are we surprised? No. But what did surprise us was how Felton also threw a veiled jab at Phil Jackson in the process. Here's the quote in its entirety and we'll revisit the topic below.

ME: You spent last season playing with Jason Kidd. What kind of coach do you think he’ll be this season in Brooklyn?

So, the guy who molded the triangle offense around the respective games of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen and worked on bringing Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers back to the mountaintop in back-to-back seasons did nothing but say a couple things and draw some plays out of a timeout? FOH! Look, we understand what you're saying about J-Kidd not really needing to do much coaching but don't rope the Zen Master into the conversation, fam. Say that about someone like Erik Spoelstra, not Jackson.

Unless people entirely agree with what Felton said. Sound off in the comments section.
