His hatred has grown.

Now that Paul Pierce is no longer a member of the Boston Celtics, you would think that his hatred for the New York Knicks would be significantly decreased. But as it turns out, joining the Brooklyn Nets has only reinforced his hate for the Knicks. During an interview with ESPN New York 98.7 FM yesterday, he talked about how much he hates his new crosstown rival.

"I think the hate [for the Knicks] has grown a little," he said. "Everybody knows how much I disliked the Knicks when I was with the Celtics, but I think it's grown to another level. I think it's time for the Nets to start running this city."

Pierce also said that he has one goal—and one goal only—for the rest of his career.

"I want to be that guy that says I was one of the first guys to put a banner in Brooklyn," he said.

Well, that would certainly be one way to piss off all of the Knicks fan out there.
