The NBA is a business. A cutthroat business. So one day you're playing alongside a guy, and the next you're competing against him.

Kevin Durant and James Harden found that out the hard way last season when Harden was sent to the Rockets in a pretty surprising trade that took place right before the start of the 2012-13 NBA season. It gave them very little time to adapt to playing without each other and, truth be told, they missed one another. We're not just making that up, either. In this sit-down interview that Durant and Harden did with Grantland's Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose recently, the two talked about how difficult it was to play for different teams last season. It sounds like it was a struggle.

Watch the video to hear them discuss their split. How great would it be if the Thunder and Rockets squared off in the Western Conference Finals next spring?!
