Did you happen to see this video of a man proposing to his girlfriend at a New Britain Rock Cats minor league baseball game recently and getting rejected? If you did, you probably felt really, really, really bad for the guy. But as it turns out, you shouldn't have.
Even though the whole thing looked real, it was actually just a hoax staged by the Minnesota Twins Double-A team. They just admitted that they did it solely because they wanted to create a video that would go viral. They succeeded—the video was viewed more than 600,000 times on YouTube—but at what cost? We guarantee it's the last time we fall for one of their stupid stunts.
Lame, guys. Laaaaaaame.
