With no space.

I don't know about you, but my first snap reaction to Cadillac's new concept car called Elmiraj (no space, no caps) was a memory back to the Sixteen. The Sixteen is one of my favorite concept cars of all time and a car that will still have specs that blow minds for decades to come (16 cylinders, 1,000 horsepower, if you don't remember). I'm not sure Elmiraj (putting "the" in front of "el" is just repetitive, no?) will have the same affect on me, simply because I'm not seeing it in person, but it's exterior looks are even more handsom, and the interior is one of the smoothest cabins we've ever seen.

The Elmiraj is a two-door, four-passenger grand coupe. It doesn't have Sixteen numbers, but it has a 4.5L, twin-turbo V8 under the hood, an expansion of the twin-turbo V6 in the CTS-V, that produces 500hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. So, yes, it'll throw your hair back. It's about 17 feet long, and weighs approximately 4,000 pounds.

The car is a rear-wheel-drive platform, and according to the press release, "Elmiraj is constructed with chassis and structural elements of an ongoing Cadillac vehicle development project slated for future production."

Basically, the Ciel and this concept are building blocks leading to what will be the top-of-the-line Cadillac. And looking at the incredible interior, it would be sitting at the top of a lot of car companies.

“Elmiraj is about poise and proportion,” said Niki Smart, lead exterior designer. “We wanted a mature statement for Cadillac, where simplicity and subtle adornments create a purposeful presence.”

Inside we see titanium trim, transparent analog guages, high-performance sculpted seats, Brazilian rosewood, a 10-inch touchscreen, and camel leather. Yum.

PS: Not the lack of wreath around the Cadillac logo. Thoughts?
