Police checkpoints are designed to help cops spot drunk drivers and get them off the road. But very few drivers make it as easy as 56-year-old Buffalo, N.Y. resident Lester L. McDue did earlier this week.

Rather than try to hide the fact that he was driving while intoxicated on Tuesday night, McDue figured he would enjoy his last few moments of freedom. So he attempted to make his way through a police checkpoint that was set up in Buffalo with a beer in his hand. Yes, with a beerin his hand! It obviously didn't work out very well for him, though, as he was arrested immediately after he failed sobriety tests and blew a .09 percent on a Breathalyzer.

Way to go, dude. You win the award for being, hands down, the dumbest drunk driver of all time.
