Here in the states a new C7 Corvette Stingray starts at $51,995. We think it's a fair price for a stunning car. In China, that same car will cost buyers 1.5 Million Yuan, which works out to $245,118. That's right, a new Corvette in China costs $193,123 over MSRP; and we thought $10,000 "dealer fees" were bad.
Why is it so much? China puts huge taxes on imported and luxury goods. That said, there are also huge markups on the die cast Corvettes that are made in China so...
