Serena Williams Was Upset by Sabine Lisicki in the Fourth Round of Wimbledon

She's going home early.

For whatever reason, there have been a ton of upsets at Wimbledon this year. And that trend continued today when Serena Williams lost in the fourth round of the tournament to Germany's Sabine Lisicki. After losing the first set 6-2, Serena dominated Lisicki 6-1 in the second set. But Lisicki rebounded in the third set to win 6-4—and to send the Wimbledon defending champ home early. The loss snapped Serena's career-best winning streak at 34 matches.

We love a good upset. But at this point, is there anyone left in the Wimbledon field that we actually know/care about? Good grief. This isn't going to be good for ratings.
