When Sharknado premiered earlier this week, people went crazy on Twitter talking about it. In an effort to capitalize on all the attention, ESPN sent out a tweet which roped in the San Jose Sharks:
Hey @SanJoseSharks, thoughts on changing your name to the San Jose #Sharknados?
Why'd they do that? When the Sharks caught wind of it, they could've gone a variety of ways:
- Laugh it off
- Tell them that Sharks are still more badass
- Get in a dig at ESPN
Luckily, they went with the last option and it was incredible.
