The Rockets Were Just Fined $150,000 by the NBA for Comments They Made About Dwight Howard Recently

What?!?

Dwight Howard will cost the Rockets $88 million over the course of the next four years. Er, make that $88,150,000.

The NBA just fined Houston $150K for "unauthorized comments" that they made about Howard after they got him to agree to a new four-year, $88 million contract late last week. According to NBA rules, teams aren't allowed to comment on free agents publicly until July 10, which is when players like Howard are allowed to sign with their new teams. The NBA hasn't revealed exactly which comments the Rockets are being fined for. But CBS Sports believes that a tweet sent out by Rockets GM Daryl Morey might have done the trick:

Eh, yeah, that sounds about right. $150,000, though, NBA? For a tweet? That's crazy.
