He's a goner.

Ohio State senior running back Carlos Hyde was expected to be one of the best RBs in the country during the 2013 college football season. But as of right now, he won't be running with the Buckeyes this fall thanks to his alleged involvement in the assault of a female over the weekend.

Ohio State hasn't put out any details surrounding Hyde's release from the team. And Hyde has not been arrested in connection to the assault. But he was reportedly identified in a police report that was filed on Saturday as a "person of interest" in an assault investigation at a bar in Columbus.

Tough weekend to be a college football player, eh? We hope this is the last arrest we hear about between now and the start of the upcoming college football season.
