At this point, you're probably familiar with Kurt Warner's epic rags-to-riches story. Back in the 1990s, he went from working at a grocery store and making minimum wage to playing quarterback for the St. Louis Rams and leading the team to a Super Bowl. It's a story that's been told a billion and one times by NFL analysts and commentators.
But 20th Century Fox doesn't think you know the whole story. So they just purchased the rights to Warner's life and are planning on developing his life story into a feature-length film. The film, which will be produced by Temple Hill, will include details from Warner's autobiography, All Things Possible: My Story of Faith, Football, and the Miracle Season, and will reveal more about his life before, during, and after pro football.
"For so long, people have told me my life story would make a great movie," he revealed recently. "I am humbled and thrilled to have found a team as excited as I am to make that happen."
It'll be interesting to see if this project ever gets off the ground or if it gets stuck in production limbo. Either way, we're glad Warner is getting a chance from a major Hollywood studio. He's got one hell of a story, and we bet that there are a lot of people out there who would like to learn more about it.
