It's no secret that Michael Jordan loves to gamble. But is he really this crazy about it?
According to a new book called The Kennedy Chronicles written by former MTV VJ Kennedy, she was having dinner with MJ and Russell Simmons at the Bowery Bar in New York City back in the 1990s when Jordan took out some dice and presented her with a wager. "If I win," she remembers him saying, "you come back to my hotel room with me tonight."
Kennedy, who was a virgin at the time, declined MJ's proposal. Instead, she offered to gamble with him in exchange for Knicks tickets. But Jordan reportedly scoffed at her suggestion, reminded her that he was married (it does sound like she was the one who needed the reminder, right?), and sent her home with Nets tickets (UGH!).
"Sure, he'll filet my vag like a sea bass if he won at dice on a men's room floor," she writes in her book, "but as soon as I want basketball tickets, he's a Promise Keeper? Whatevs."
We're not sure how much we can trust a story that ends with "Whatevs." But like we said, it's no secret that Michael Jordan loves to gamble. So would this story shock us if it turned out to be true? Hardly.
Now who else is suddenly in the mood for some sea bass?!
