Metta World Peace is the best, isn't he? According to numerous reports, the Lakers are going to use the NBA's amnesty provision soon to take World Peace's $7.7 million contract off the books next season. It'll help the Lakers clear cap space, and it'll give World Peace the chance to join another NBA team this summer (maybe the Knicks?). So you would think that World Peace would be a little bit on edge today. But nooooooope!
Just a little while ago, World Peace took to his Twitter account to announce that he "just got the news…" But "the news" isn't what you think. Here's what he had to say:
