By now we're all aware that the Tesla Model S isn't just an electric car, it's the electric car, that provides performance and practicality in a way that no other electron shuffler has before. As is turns out, the Model S is even better than itself.
Tesla's official performance numbers for the 60 kWh car say that it produces 302 hp, sprints from zero to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, and runs a quarter mile in 14.2 seconds. Now Drag Times has tested the Model S, and found that the 60 kWh car got to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds, ran a quarter mile in 14.2 seconds, and even displayed that it was making 320 hp. Color us impressed.
