Well, after nearly two years of indecision, it looks like the Dwight Howard saga has finally come to an end. Maybe. According to one of USA Today's sources, Howard has reached an agreement with the Houston Rockets. Other teams in the Dwight sweepstakes included the L.A. Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, and Atlanta Hawks.

The three-time Defensive Player of the Year and five-time rebounding leader is coming off of a tumultuous season in La La Land in which he had his lowest RPG average since 2006-07 (12.4) and saw his PPG average dip to 17.1. The Lakers barely made it into the playoffs by securing the 8th seed on the final day of the season and were subsequently swept by the San Antonio Spurs in the first round.

The USA Today report comes despite the fact that Dwight Howard's agent told Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski that "Dwight has not yet finalized his decision."

Wojnarowski later tweeted that his sources said Howard's representatives and the Rockets were still working out the details of the contract. Either way, you can fully expect Dwight Howard and his decision to dominate the sports headlines for the foreseeable future. Who's more insufferable: Dwight Howard in 2013 or LeBron James circa summer 2010?
