It is being reported that on July 10, Dwight Howard will announce what franchise he will be joining for the near future. He may need to push that deadline back a couple days just so he can give teams, like the Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors an opportunity to create a some sort of side incentive for joining.
Yesterday, we told you about Dallas-area chain Raising Cain's offer of free chicken fingers for life if he opts to go with the Mavericks. Today, Arash Markazi of ESPN LA revealed on Twitter that there could be a show in Howard's future, but only if he stays with the Lake Show.
There had already been preliminary talks between Dwight Howard and Time Warner on a show if he returned to the Lakers.— Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) July 1, 2013
TWC is desperate for original programming as it is and if giving Dwight his own show helps the Lakers it's a win-win.— Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) July 1, 2013
Knowing Dwight, how could he ever say no to an opportunity like that? Then again, how will DH break the news to Kobe Bryant without the Black Mamba hitting him with this look at every turn?
