It looks like The Captain is really back. Derek Jeter started in his only Major League game of the season in July 11, where he suffered a quadriceps strain that sidelined him until today. He showed just why fans missed him when he took the plate against the Rays.
Jeter scored a home run at his first at-bat—on the first pitch—for the Yankees' first home run since the All-Star break. It looks like The Captain is trying to avenge his team's prior two losses against Tampa Bay.
