Andrew Bynum might be on his way to Cleveland next season.
According to a Yahoo! Sports report, the former Sixers center—who didn't play a single game during the 2012-13 NBAseason thanks to his balky knees—met with the Cavaliers yesterday and was offered a two-year, $24 million contract by the team. He didn't take it immediately (WHY?!) and flew to Atlanta last night to meet with the Hawks. But the Cavs' offer will reportedly remain on the table until either Bynum takes it or they find another free agent—they're also talking to Andrei Kirilenko and Elton Brand—to sign with them in the meantime.
The Cavs did include a team option for the second year in the contract they presented to Bynum. But even with that in place, there's no reason why he shouldn't be jumping at the chance to make $24 million after the misery he endured in Philadelphia. Sign the deal, like, now, 'Drew. It's time to get back to work.
