Being an intern is a nerve-wracking experience. You're working for free, desperate to impress the higher-ups enough for them to offer your broke ass a job. A simple typo can feel like a death sentence, so imagine how the intern responsible for KTVU's racist broadcast feels.

The National Transportation Safety Board issued a press release confirming that a summer intern confirmed fake names for the four pilots of the plane that crashed in San Francisco July 6. KTVU reported on that the pilot's names were "Captain Sum Ting Wong," "Wi Tu Lo," "Ho Lee Fuk," and "Bang Ding Ow." Pretty racist.

There's no word on who the intern is or if they're still at the NTSB. Chances are that the kid is screwed. This will make for an interesting "What I Learned at My Summer Internship" paper at the end of the summer.
