At this point, the Knicks would probably do just about anything—yes, anything—to get Amar'e Stoudemire's ridiculous contract off the books. His balky knees don't seem to be getting any better, and he's just not a good fit for the franchise anymore. But there is at least one team out there that wants the big man. That team is Israel's national team.

Because of Stoudemire's ties to Judaism, Shimon Peres—the president of Israel—just extended an invitation to Stoudemire to play for the Israeli national team sometime in the future. Stoudemire has not revealed whether or not he will accept the offer. But because of his health issues, we probably wouldn't bank on him playing overseas anytime soon. Then again, do the Knicks even care anymore at this point? They're just counting down the days until his contract runs out, so maybe they will let Stoudemire do it. We'll just have to wait and see.
