Aaron Hernandez shot Odin Lloyd. At least, that's what Hernandez's accomplice Carlos Ortiz—who has been charged with firearm possession in the aftermath of Lloyd's murder—reportedly heard the day after Lloyd's murder.

Although Ortiz was allegedly in the car with Hernandez, Lloyd, and a third man named Ernest Wallace on the night Lloyd was murdered, he talked to police recently according to court documents and said that he stayed behind when the three men got out to urinate in an industrial park near Hernandez's home. A short time later, Hernandez and Wallace returned to the car without Lloyd and took off. And Ortiz says that Wallace talked to him the following day and revealed that Hernandez admitted to killing Lloyd.

There are all sorts of holes in Ortiz's story. For instance, couldn't Ortiz still see the three men when they got out of the car that night? Didn't anyone say anything about Lloyd's whereabouts after they fled the scene? And why did Hernandez have to "admit" to killing Lloyd to Wallace? Wasn't Wallace there with him when he allegedly shot Lloyd? We may never know the answers to those questions. But if Ortiz decides to cooperate with police further, Hernandez could be in a world of trouble.
